A trusty sidekick for Texas litigation

How InfoTrack and Filevine have transformed Bryant Law PC's case workflows

Bryant Law PC files and serves civil cases across South and Central Texas, where rural counties have unique filing requirements.

Integrating their Filevine practice management system with InfoTrack ensures that the firm’s court filing and process serving orders are acurate, properly expensed, and visible to everyone—making daily work less stressful for paralegals like Rheanna Moore.

Before InfoTrack: Skipped steps, lost margin

Filing cases online in Texas is complicated enough, with more than 20 steps to complete on average via the eFileTexas portal, and filing requirements that change by county. But according to Rheanna, the bigger complications usually came after the filing was submitted to the court.

Before Bryant Law added InfoTrack to its Filevine setup, truly finishing every filing meant:

  1. Monitoring its status on the Texas court portal.
  2. Downloading conformed copies after they came back.
  3. Saving stamped documents to the right Filevine project.
  4. Entering the expense in the Filevine project.
  5. Following up with the attorney.

Each of these steps used up unbillable staff time on menial tasks. "I have had those days where my inbox was completely overwhelmed and I forgot to download documents that were filed and returned stamped to us," Rheanna said.

In a busy week, any one of these steps could be missed—with expense recording often the first corner to get cut. But a forgotten fee is one the firm ends up absorbing itself.
